Faith Without Works Is Dead

“14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:14-17.

What does it mean by faith by itself is dead? Well it’s what it says. If there is no works that comes from your faith, then your faith is dead. By dead it means it is false, or never existed. If you say you believe in Jesus and that you have faith in Him, but you never show it by works then what good is your faith?

Here is an analogy for you. A bird has one wing (faith) and it wants to jump off a tall tree. So it jumps. It flaps it’s wings as hard and fast as it can. But no matter what happens, it dies. It goes splat. That is the same thing with our faith. If we do not have works to show that we have faith, our faith is dead.

However, if the bird has two wings (faith and works) and it jumps off the tree. It flies and does not die. Same thing with us. If we have works to show our faith it is not dead! People will see your faith and your love for God. Let me say this one more time FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS USELESS!!!!! Actions speak louder than words.
