The Day After Easter

It’s the Monday right after Easter. You groan as you get out of bed and grumpily get ready for school or work. You get in a car and you begin the day. You yell, you gossip, you complain. You go back to lying and stealing and being lustful for something.
Stop. Let’s think about this. Yesterday was Easter. You worshipped God and you celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. You thanked him for dying for you. So why do you go back to the way you lived?
Yea you are a sinner and you are imperfect, but that doesn’t mean you should have the same lifestyle you do. In fact Albert Einstien said “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again.” The Bible also says in Romans 6:1-2 “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?”
Just because you are saved it doesn’t mean you can sin all you want. So why is it that after Easter Sunday, you go back to your normal, sinful life? Why don’t you take your joy you had on Sunday with you for the week? Shouldn’t you celebrate the resurrection every day and not just Easter? I mean seriously, He’s alive and He’s victorious every day not just Easter Sunday.
Moral of the story, do not go back to your normal life, go back to a life full of joy, love, and praise.
