How can someone say that there is going to be a revival at their church? I mean are they God? No. Are they Jesus? No. Are they the Holy Spirit? No. So they can’t say that there’s going to be a revival at their church. I’m pretty sure that the only person that can make there be a revival is the Holy Spirit (also Jesus and God.) Why can’t they say that there is going to be a Prayer and Worship service or something like that? When they say that there’s going to be a revival, it makes me upset. How do they know that there will be a revival. What if you call something a revival and the Holy Spirit doesn’t show up? The Holy Spirit decides when there will be a revival and where, not us.
It seems to me that they’re expecting the Holy Spirit to show up. They’re basically telling the Holy Spirit “Hey you better show up tonight, I already called it a revival.” But they can’t tell the Holy Spirit what it needs to do, it doesn’t work that way. If they do that, they play with fire.
You can anticipate and hope for a revival, because that’s what we should do but you can’t say that there will be a revival.
